• Describe and discuss the standards of practice, benefits to practicing professionals, organizations, and medical device manufacturers.
• Review the process and history of the development of the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice.
• Review the 3 new standards introduced in the 9th edition.
• Explore highlights of several new practice recommendations, with focus on peripheral vascular access, dressing management, and other revisions to existing standards.
